[David takes a long moment to look around, taking it all in—the flower petals, the outfit, the Frank Ocean. God, it's been so long since he's heard Frank Ocean. But Wade commands most of his attention, the whole scene sending his heart beating unevenly as he steps into the apartment with a cautious smile.]

Hey, yourself. [His gaze drops to Wade's shoes, and a funny little twitch passes over his face.] You look nice. All of this for me?

[As if he didn't dress up a little, too, wrapped in a pale grey cashmere sweater with zippers at the shoulders. Touchable.]

[ Wade isn't sure if it's synchrony at play, how people get close to one another here, so close that they fit into each other's empty spaces... until they're not completely sure where they end and the other begins. After a year here, he's not sure if he remembers what a normal bond feels like. Doesn't really want to know, because it feels like being with David has ruined him for relationships before Synchrony was a thing that opened his eyes.

But as different as everything feels with Synchrony, there's no replacing love. He knows what it feels like, when something's right, fits together so well that there's no way he can imagine a life where it's absent. Or, more aptly, if life would be as good without David's affections. The intimacy of knowing his quirks, like how that flicker of attention to his crocs without comment speaks fucking volumes of his love. How he dresses for himself but leaves bait for Wade's touch because he loves being wanted. ]

I had hoped another would drop by, but they bailed last minute.

[ By now, he hopes David knows when he uses that far-too-smooth tone, what he's saying falls on the opposite end of the sincerity-to-bullshit spectrum. ]

But I'll make an exception for living Snuggie.

[The corner of David's mouth twitches into the barest smile at Wade's joke; he's learned very fucking well how to decipher his tone, his playful little tangents, all those little signs that he's talking complete bullshit. And God help him, David adores it. All of it. The crocs, the Hello Kitty handcuffs, the ill-timed jokes and X-rated humor.

He steps closer in two long strides, huffing out a soft laugh as he reaches out for Wade's hands. His thumbs stroke slow circles over their backs of them, Synchrony settling over his skin in a familiar hum that's warm and welcoming, like coming home after a long day.]

Will you shut up and kiss me, please?

[ Wade chuckles at the muted journey David's face goes through as they struggle to hide the range of emotions he's feeling, glowing in the comforting synchrony that washes over him. ]

Bring it in, babe —

[ Yanking David in by his hands, he leads them up and around his shoulders while he wraps his arms around David's waist, pulling him into a tight embrace. Smiling at him, their noses nearly touching, he walks him back and to the side in a slow dance as he relishes the moment. Feeling David's chest against his, feeling him breathe, the faint beat of his heart. Reveling in the fact he can wrap his arms around him and enjoy this kind of intimacy until he slides his hands down to lift him up -- leaving David seated in his hands with his legs around Wade's hips.

And yeah, he likes this too. ]

God, I'm crazy about you.

[ It's all he says before he presses his smiling lips against David's, a warm and happy kiss that swiftly melts into a filthy kind of affection — greedy, open-mouthed, and starving for David. ]

[David sighs as he's pulled into a tight embrace, letting his arms loop around Wade's shoulders. His body moves easily along with Wade's, a slow-dance with Frank Ocean crooning in the background, I see both sides like Chanel, see on both sides like Chanel, it's really you on my mind... He barely notices Wade's hands sliding lower, so familiar, until he's being hoisted up by the ass, with no choice but to koala himself to his boyfriend and enjoy being lifted like he weighs nothing at all.

He huffs out a soft laugh that maybe sounds a little wet. God help him, he wants this. For as long as he can have it. Either of them could disappear any day now. Why waste the time they have together?]

I fucking love you, [he whispers fiercely, and then they're kissing and he can only smile right back, melting into a muffled groan as Wade devours his mouth, hands clutching close around the back of his neck and head. His heart is pounding double-time in his chest, stealing his breath, but when he pulls away David looks a tiny bit desperate. Like the words are fighting their way out of his chest and he's helpless to prevent them from being spoken.]

I want this. I want to do it. [He's nodding as he speaks, reaffirming to himself that the words are true. He wants to marry this man. David chews his lip to hide a smile, expression turning playfully stern.] Can't ask me over text, though.

Scout's honor, no texting.

[ Holding David aloft, close to him, above him. He gazes into those deep, brown irises and gives his head a little shake, asking 'why not' at the world. He's a romantic, through and through, and he's found that never changed even after 'Ness' death. Only the place has changed... aside from who is now his partner. His attention is wholly on his (soon-to-be) fiancee. ]

Let's do it, babe — let's save a fucking date, do this handfasting thing! Like the locals do, except better. Fashion-forward, and with more party favors.

[ Eagerly, he glances at David as if to ask him to give his kindest opinion, if only to tease out what his ideal wedding -- sorry, handfasting ceremony would be. He's still at a loss. But he'll retrace his steps, walk back to those locals most familiar to those involved if need be. ]

Yeah, [David breathes, and suddenly his whole body feels hot and cold all at once, fear and excitement and dopamine rushing through him in fever chills. He clings tightly to Wade, never quite close enough when he's feeling needy and vulnerable.] But he's grinning, breathless, nodding along with Wade's ideas.

Love a party favor. [He sniffs a little, trying to hitch back the wetness making itself present in his eyes and nose. His body is thrumming with Synchrony, the most perfect feeling he's ever experienced, and it's making it hard to keep his emotions in check. David laughs wetly, eyes rolling toward the ceiling.]

Can't believe you broke into my apartment and now we're, like, making commitments.
