Disposition: Generally, David is fine as long as nobody is inconveniencing him in any way. He is very particular about the way he likes things to be, and isn’t afraid to voice his displeasure when someone is fucking up his vibe. Born to and raised by wealthy parents, David is accustomed to a life of celebrity: luxury skincare products, lavish vacations and palling around with his famous friends on yachts. This has shaped his personality in that he has become very entitled and does not hide his thoughts or feelings, and has a tendency to be a bit shallow. He can be a bit of a dick to those he views as incompetent or unintelligent, and definitely struggles to keep his condescending tone in check. Much of this stems from his own insecurity, however, and generally there’s little actual malice behind it unless you’ve done something truly heinous to lose his respect.

Two years of living in a tiny nowhere town has certainly tempered his less pleasant attributes, but he still has a sharp wit and a knack for throwing shade that’s unrivaled. But David also has some good traits hidden under that chilly exterior. He cares very deeply for his family despite their dysfunction, and for his friends once he’s learned how to make and keep them. He is also single-minded and stubborn, which he uses to his advantage; once he has an idea that he knows is good, it’s hard to throw him off-course. When he needs a place to keep his nice clothing from becoming moth-eaten, he becomes determined to build himself a cedar chest despite having no idea how to do so. He is also rather sensitive, despite putting up a chill exterior; his feelings sometimes catch him off-guard and send him scrambling for control. But even though he loves to snap at people to distract from any hint of vulnerability, he is slowly learning how to own his emotions and (very) reluctantly apologize for hurting someone else’s.

Although his love for fine fragrances, lotions and all the better parts of his old life might seem like a shallow thing, David truly does find comfort in material possessions, in the little luxuries that make life worth living. And not only that, but that love has manifested in him as a shrewd knack for business. Knowing how much something is worth means he knows how much he can make from it, and at his canon point David has begun brainstorming a new business endeavor. This shows how driven he is, and how good he is at knowing what people want, and how to sell it to them. Owning an art gallery and opening up a small-town apothecary are two different things, but they both speak to how driven and talented he is.

Suitability: David is definitely going to struggle a little bit it first; the world he comes from is relatively mundane, so all of the magic/transformation stuff will be hard for him to accept/come to terms with. It will definitely be a little frightening and overwhelming. However, he’s got a decent track record of blooming where he’s planted, so once he makes some friends and unclenches a little he’ll be more receptive to the more unfamiliar parts of Noctium, and more willing to try out his new powers and stretch his wings, so to speak.
